Over the years I have seen many changes and culture shifts in the way the Buxton Library has been operated. Some I have welcomed, some not so! However the staff have always been consistently helpful and welcoming and remain so, which in the present climate is to be applauded, as I know there have been many pressures and changes with which they have had to cope. I can usually find what I want, and as the range of books is constantly varied I am never at a loss for a good read. I am particularly pleased with the influx of books relating the the first world war as I have had a long term interest in this period. Libraries can be about many aspects of our ever changing culture and this should be reflected in the changes to media access which can be readily seen in the Library. i also am pleased at the introduction of children and young peoples activities. However, in my own view ,its all about the book and here Buxton serves me very well. Thank you!
